Leadership & Accountability

  • Serves as the city’s chief executive
  • Ensures laws are carried out and city services are delivered effectively

As a mental health crisis worker, I’ve been trained to assess complex situations, make decisions under pressure, and take responsibility in real time. I will bring that same level of accountability and follow-through to this role.

Managing the City

  • Oversees city departments and daily operations
  • Works to improve how city services function

My experience working across systems has shown me how challenging it can be to navigate services. I will focus on improving coordination and making systems more accessible and responsive to the people they serve.

Building a Strong Team

  • Appoints leaders to key departments, boards, and commissions
  • Holds leadership accountable to the public

I’ve worked alongside multidisciplinary teams throughout my career. I understand how to bring people together, build trust, and create teams that work toward a shared goal.

Budget & Priorities

  • Develops and proposes the city’s annual budget
  • Works with City Council to fund essential services and priorities

I will approach the budget with care and responsibility—prioritizing resources where they have the greatest impact on people’s daily lives.

Working with City Council

  •  Approves or vetoes legislation
  • Collaborates to move policies forward

My work has required constant collaboration—bringing together individuals, families, law enforcement, and healthcare providers. I will lead with that same approach—listening, finding common ground, and moving forward together.

Emergency Leadership

  • Leads the city during emergencies and crises
  • Coordinates response with local, state, and federal partners

I’ve worked on the frontlines of crisis. I understand the importance of calm, clear decision-making in high-pressure situations, and I will bring that mindset to leading the city during emergencies.

Representing Los Angeles

  • Serves as the voice of the city
  • Represents Los Angeles at the regional, national, and global level

I will represent Los Angeles with integrity—grounded in the diverse experiences and voices that make this city what it is.

A Different Kind of Leadership

Los Angeles doesn’t need more division, it needs leadership that brings people together. I’m not running to take sides. I’m running to listen, bring people to the table, and help find solutions that actually work. Because in a city as diverse as Los Angeles, leadership isn’t about winning arguments—it’s about building trust.

Diplomatic Leadership

I believe leadership means bringing people together—listening, finding common ground, and doing the work to move forward.”

“Leadership that listens, brings people together, and gets to work.”

Because in a city as diverse as Los Angeles, leadership isn’t about winning arguments—it’s about building trust.

1. Less Politics, More Problem-Solving

I’m not interested in political fights. I care about what actually works—and how we get there together.

2. Bringing People Together

Los Angeles is made up of many communities, cultures, and perspectives. We don’t need to choose sides—we need to bring those voices together.

3. Listening First

Before solutions, there has to be listening. People want to be heard—and that’s where real change begins

4. Finding Common Ground

Whether it’s housing, safety, or mental health—solutions won’t come from one side alone. They come from people sitting down, being honest, and working through it.

My Approach to Leadership

I approach leadership with a clear mindset: listen first, bring people together, and do the work.

My experience has prepared me to:

Listen with intention and understand different perspectives

De-escalate conflict and navigate complex challenges

Work across systems to deliver real solutions

Stay focused and make decisions under pressure

I will serve with humility and discipline, grounded in listening, clear judgment, and accountability. I pray for wisdom and guidance so that my decisions reflect the responsibility this role demands.
This role comes with real authority, and a responsibility to use it with judgment, accountability, and purpose. I’m ready to show up, make decisions, and do the work for Los Angeles.

Pray. Lead. Serve. Together.
