Why I’m Running I didn’t plan to run for mayor. But over time, I couldn’t ignore what I was seeing—people struggling to get the help they need, whether it’s because support isn’t there, or because reaching for it isn’t always easy.

In the work I’ve done—and especially as a mental health crisis worker—I see it every day. I see people in some of the hardest moments of their lives. And I won’t lie, it stays with me. There are days I leave the field feeling sad. Because I believe people are meant for more. Through my faith and my relationship with Jesus, I believe there’s real hope, real healing, and a different path forward.

And it’s not just what I’ve seen at work—I’ve felt that pressure in my own life too. Balancing family, responsibility, and trying to make life work day to day. It’s hard—but with faith, community, and God’s strength, I’ve made it through. So I’m not speaking from the outside—I’m living it.

My faith is a big reason I’m stepping forward. I believe we’re called to care for each other, to show up with compassion, and to serve—especially when things are hard. That’s how I try to show up, and that’s how I would lead.

I love Los Angeles and the people who call it home. And over time, I felt called—not just personally, but spiritually—to step forward and do more.

I’m not a career politician. I don’t have all the answers. But I will be honest about what’s not working—and I’m committed to doing the work to fix it.

Pray. Lead. Serve. Together.
